Walking Tour Of Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam located in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The dam is the highest concrete arch-gravity dam in the United States and impounds Lake Mead, which extends for 115 miles upstream and is one of the largest artificial lakes in the world.

The Hoover Dam is a popular tourist destination, attracting nearly 1 million visitors every year. Visitors can take a walking tour across the Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Visitors can also opt for an official tour that costs $10, which can only be purchased on-site.
