This is a video on hiking the Pihea Vista Trail near Pu’u O Kila Lookout in Koke’e State Park on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.
About The Pihea Vista Trail
Hiking the Pihea Vista Trail in Hawaii was a journey through some of the most stunning landscapes of Kauai. The trail, approximately 2.3 miles in length, offered several overlooks of the Na Pali Coast. Though the hike was moderately challenging, it took us around 1.5 hours to complete.
The trail led through a variety of terrains, from well-maintained paths to overgrown, muddy, and rocky sections, and it gradually ascended to an elevation of about 4,000 feet. Weather conditions varied, from warm and sunny stretches to misty and cooler segments due to the high elevation. Along the trail, we encountered an array of exotic plants and animals, including colorful Hawaiian flowers, ferns, and bird species like the ‘i’iwi and ‘apapane. The trail culminated at Pihea Vista, where we were treated to incredible views of the Na Pali Coast and the deep blue expanse of the Pacific Ocean.
