Location & Parking
The hotel’s location was ideal for exploring all that southern Utah and Greater Zion had to offer. It was situated just 1 mile from the South Entrance of Zion National Park, and within a day’s trip from Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon North Rim, Lake Powell, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. The location provided easy access to all local attractions.
Parking at the hotel was uncomplicated. There were no resort fees or additional parking fees. We were given a permit to display in our windshield for parking.
FHOP Tip: Even with a permit, parking is slim here, so you’ll want to get here early. If you can’t find parking at the hotel, you may have to park on the main road – which can be quite a trek.
Lobby
The hotel’s lobby was new, well-lit and welcoming, with signature cathedral windows offering a stunning view.

Loyalty Program Benefits
For Bonvoy Platinum members, there aren’t a whole lot of benefits at SpringHill Suites properties, although we did receive two bottles of water and a room on the top floor.

Room Entrance
Our accommodation was a 1 King Suite, which was clean and contemporary, pretty much “standard” for a SpringHill Suites property (as expected).
The suite featured a seating area with a sofa bed, a LCD flat-screen television, complimentary wireless internet, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and air conditioning.

Bathroom
The hotel supplied toiletry products from the 39 Degrees North brand. These products were designed to cleanse and nourish gently, with a refreshing eucalyptus and lavender scent. I’ve said it before, I kinda like this brand.
Dining Options
While the hotel did not have its own restaurant, it was adjacent to several dining options like Oscar’s, MeMe’s Cafe, and Zion Pizza & Noodle Co.
Breakfast
The hotel served a complimentary hot breakfast. The breakfast included a variety of items such as breakfast sausages, eggs, cereals, packaged pastries, muffins, bagels, yogurt, etc. Oh, and coffee of course.

The hotel featured an outdoor seasonal pool and splash pad.

Things To Do Nearby
If you are staying here, like us, you are probably visiting magnificent Zion National Park. But let me also add that Springdale is a wonderful little town with a charm unto itself – you can explore the Virgin River, Rock Shops, Art Galleries, bike paths, and restaurants.
FHOP Tip: We tried the popular Camp Outpost for lunch and weren’t disappointed. It was packed, but we managed to find a seat outside where we enjoyed some sandwiches and beer.
Zion National Park
OK, let’s get down to it, Zion National Park is one of the most amazing places in the United States. Which is we why choose the SpringHill Suites in Springdale – at only a 5 minute drive, its about as close to the park entrance as a hotel can get. To do Zion justice, I’d say you need a minimum of two nights there.
Here are some easy hikes we did on our last trip to Zion National Park.
The Bottom-Line Review: SpringHill Suites Springdale Zion National Park (Utah)
Our stay at Springhill Suites in Springdale was an enjoyable experience. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to local attractions and Zion National Park. The rooms were standard for a SpringHill Suites, but on the newer side – and clean, spacious, and appointed with modern amenities. The complimentary breakfast was on the better side than what I”d usually expect from a free breakfast hotel. The only negative was the limited parking – we always seemed to grab the very last available parking spot at the hotel. Overall, I would rate our experience an 8 out of 10 and would recommend Springhill Suites Springdale to families, couples, singles, hikers, bikers, and other travelers seeking a convenient stay at a “points hotel”.
