Review: Hyatt Regency LAX Airport (Los Angeles, California)
About
The Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) originally opened as a Hyatt in 1972. It went through several brand changes before returning to the Hyatt Regency brand in 2017 after a full property refresh. The hotel stands out for its modern design, spacious rooms, and proximity to LAX.

Location & Parking
Located at 6225 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045, the Hyatt Regency LAX is convenient for travelers. It’s adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and is accessible via a short walk or complimentary shuttle ride.
FHOP Tip: The streets around LAX can be mean (and confusing), so I recommend definitely taking the free shuttle to and from the hotel.
FHOP Tip: Parking at this hotel is a steep $60. While there is not much metered parking in the area, there is some. You may get lucky and find a spot like I did. Make sure you DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN THE CAR.
Front Desk & Check-In
The lobby is spacious, well-lit, and exudes a sparse and modern vibe reminiscent of the classic LAX Encounters Restaurant.
World of Hyatt Globalist Benefits
How were the World of Hyatt Globalist benefits treated here? Not great. I was not offered a room upgrade based on my Globalist status, although I think I did get the “higher floor” treatment. I was offered breakfast at Unity LA Market, but I was unable to take advantage of it due to an early flight out.

Bedroom (Actual Photos)
Our room featured two comfortable queen beds with plush bedding. The room was clean, modern, and basic. The soundproof windows ensured a quiet night’s sleep despite the proximity to the airport.

Bathroom
The bathroom very clean (kudos on that) and was stocked with Pharmacopia toiletry products, which I consider to be mid-quality.

Unity LA, the hotel’s onsite restaurant, had an open market concept and was open 24 hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

The Bottom-Line Review: Hyatt Regency LAX Airport (Los Angeles, California)
The Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers a convenient and comfortable stay for travelers passing through. Its proximity to LAX, comfortable rooms, and standard amenities make it a solid choice. However, some areas could use improvement: I wasn’t blown away by the benefits/treatment of Globalist Elites, the parking is a steep $60, and the restaurant was basically a quick-bite market. On the plus side – the hotel is clean, well-lit, and a great value on a point redemptions. I can easily recommend it for travelers in transit looking for a safe and clean place to crash for the night. If you must stay near LAX, you could do a whole lot worse than The Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
