Parking at the Andaz West Hollywood is available for valet service (self-parking at the hotel is not an option).

FHOP Tip: If you arrive on a night not named “Friday” or “Saturday”, you may be able to save a few bucks by  finding overnight street meter parking on Sunset Blvd. I usually find spots past the Sunset Tower.

Lobby

The lobby area of the hotel is modern and stylish, featuring funky artwork exhibits, classic rock ‘n roll photography, and several places to lounge. It serves as a vibrant social hub where guests can relax, mingle, and enjoy the vibe of the hotel.

Breakfast At Riot House

The complimentary Globalist Breakfast option benefit at the hotel’s Riot House restaurant provided a satisfying tastey start to the day.

We went with the Andaz Classic Smoothie (thick and delicious!), the signature Corned Beef Benedict (Excellent! This plate was huge and hearty, not for the faint of heart), and the classic American Breakfast.

The Bottom-Line Review: Andaz West Hollywood (California)

We enjoyed our stay at the Andaz West Hollywood. The major plus was the Andaz Suite King upgrade which offered a spacious layout, contemporary design, and awesome views of the City.

The other major plus was the hotel’s signature restaurant, Riot House, where our Globalist breakfast was a delicious highlight with great service. The location of the hotel is ideal, where you are literally in the “thick of it”, with easy access to the Sunset Strip and Hollywood’s major attractions.

On the negative side, the hotel was heavily trafficked and felt a little worn with a bit of a “grime factor”. But then again, cocaine is a helluva drug and I’m sure if the Andaz walls could talk they’d have a lot of crazy stories to tell.

The Andaz West Hollywood exudes a tangible coolness factor that you can cut with a knife, paying homage to its rich rock ‘n’ roll history and embracing a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. With its combination of stylish accommodations, great dining options, and excellent location, the Andaz West Hollywood earns a rating of 8.5 out of 10, making it an easy place to recommend to singles, couples, partiers, and singer/model/actresses (families and business travelers should probably look elsewhere).

Did I feel like a golden god? Not quite, but I got close.

Final Rating: 8.5 our of 10
