On my recent stay at the Andaz Singapore, I was pleasantly surprised to find my [complimentary] mini-bar had something I hadn’t encountered before – Andaz Pale Ale.

Sure, it had the Andaz branding, but was it any good?

About Andaz Pale Ale

I thought it strange Andaz would brew its own beer, and even stranger that it went with a micro-brew style pale ale at that.

That was, until I read the label and saw the “made in Australia” stamp.

Apparently, this beer is brewed by RedDot Brewhouse exclusively for Andaz Singapore.

Andaz Pale Ale Description

The beer smelled quite hoppy (but nice), and poured a deep golden brown color.

Indeed, I found the 5% alcohol beer to be quite hoppy, but full-flavored, with a light-to-medium-heaviness.

There was a firm bitterness that thankfully never crossed the line into “piney”.

The Bottom-Line Review: Andaz Pale Ale (Andaz Singapore, Singapore)

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear this was a blond California micro-brew IPA.

It was a Pale Ale for sure, but an easy-drinking one at that (full-disclosure: I’m not a fan of strong IPA’s that taste like Pine Sol).

Bravo Andaz Singapore for choosing this beer, it ain’t your grandfather’s beer that’s for sure.

The Bottom-Line: 3.75/5.
