The Bottom-Line Review: Andaz Mexico City Condessa

We rate the Andaz Mexico City Condessa an 8.5 out of 10.

This hotel excels in several key areas. Its prime location in the vibrant Condesa neighborhood offered guests easy access to the subway, [very walkable] local attractions, trendy cafes and restaurants, and cultural other hotspots. The on-site dining options were good (although not great considering the surrounding Condessa neighborhood options), and the rooftop pool and purple escalators were iconic and IG worthy. We really liked the Andaz’s detail to artwork and contemporary design, which gave it a noticeable “coolness factor” that made it a popular choice for upscale. international, and stylish travelers seeking a modern and comfortable stay.

On the downside, we had heard that even top-tier Globalist guests may face challenges when it comes to “real” room upgrades (which I can confirm to be true in our case). Despite the hotel’s many strengths, the low probability of receiving an upgrade, even for Globalists, might be a tangible drawback for some. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the overall experience at Andaz Mexico City Condesa and we can easily recommend it for couples, singles, and girls/boys trips (although I wouldn’t recommend it for business travelers or families with small children).

FINAL RATING: 8.5 out of 10
