In January 2020, just a few short months ago, Chase issued several new benefits to their Sapphire Reserve credit card.
Back then, some argued the new benefits wouldn’t outweigh the increased annual fee of $550 (up from the previous $450).
Looking back on that, I’d argue the new benefits were a net win for that vast majority of card holders – especially now.

The DoorDash Benefits
In particular, the DoorDash benefits turned out to be pretty useful.
Being stuck at home “sheltering in place”, I burned through my $60 annual DoorDash statement credit almost immediately.
Additionally, the complimentary DashPass (currently $9.99 a month) would have cost me $119.88 for the year, now I get it free for 2 years.
On top of that, every time a use the DashPass, I save [by my estimate] between $2 and $5 off of every order.

Long story short: While you are stuck at home, now is as good a time as ever to use up your new Chase Sapphire Reserve benefits.
Do it now, before you forget.
