After having just discussed how the Chase Sapphire Reserve’s new benefits are potentially worth the increased annual fee (especially during 2020), it seems like Chase has given us yet another reason to hang on to the card – a $100 statement credit.

The Official Secure Message From Chase
I received an email telling me I had a new secure message from Chase.
I wasn’t expecting it, so when I logged in to see what it was, I got the following message:
Receive A $100 Statement Credit From Chase Sapphire Reserve
You read that correctly. It’s good news for a change!
As an incentive to ensure customers hold on to their Sapphire Reserve cards (despite the new $550 annual fee), Chase is giving card members a one-time $100 statement credit toward the annual fee.
This move will effectively keep the card at the $450 annual fee level through 2020.
What’s not to like about that, especially with the Sapphire Reserve’s new “shelter in place”-friendly benefits?
Cheers!
