The good news keeps coming from the Marriott Bonvoy camp.
Marriott Bonvoy Gives Business Owners An Additional 15 Elite Night Credits
It looks like Marriott Bonvoy has [finally] backtracked on their [stupid] rule that their credit cards would only provide a maximum of 15 Elite Night Credits (no matter how many Bonvoy credit cards you had).
Case in point, Marriott is now giving 15 nights to holders of a personal Bonvoy credit card and 15 nights to holders of a business Bonvoy credit card. This rule change ups the maximum Elite Night Credits possible from credit cards from 15 to 30 nights.
Even better, the adjustment in Elite Night Credits for holders of both cards is automatic.
The Bottom-Line: Marriott Bonvoy Gives Business Owners An Additional 15 Elite Night Credits
As the old saying goes, “a friend in need is a friend indeed”, and it only took a pandemic for Marriott to reassess the way they treat their customers.
This is a welcome development and a major change to one of Bonvoy’s stupidest rules.
While this doesn’t bring back the magic of SPG, it’s at least a step in the right direction. There is now a reasonable incentive to hold a personal and business card.
