With epic hangovers from the night before, we awoke at the [flawless] St. Regis Bangkok before sunrise to catch the first train to BKK Airport.
Sadly, the reality set in that our amazingly epic trip to Myanmar–Thailand was finally coming to an end.
Once at the airport, the plan simple: To sleep all the way on the 7 hour flight to Tokyo Haneda (HND) on a Japan Airlines (JAL) Boeing 787 Dreamliner; and then to sleep again on the 11 hour flight from HND to Los Angeles (LAX).

Flying Over Tokyo At Sunset
The plan worked flawlessly. JAL had just made the announcements for final approach into HND when I opened my eyes and my window shade and noticed the incredible Japanese sunset over the cloud canopy.
I quickly reached for my phone to snap a couple sunset pictures when I noticed something else.

Mt. Fuji at sunset over Tokyo?
The stars had aligned to put an exclamation point on another epic trip to Asia.
Cheers!
