Review: JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco

The JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco, originally opened in 1996, holds the distinction of being the first JW Marriott hotel outside of the United States. Recently, it has undergone a remarkable transformation, blending modern style with the rich heritage of the prestigious Polanco District in which it resides.

The Bottom-Line Review: JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco, easily rating it an 8.5 out of 10.

JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco enjoyed a prime location with perhaps some of the best views of Mexico City.  From our room, we had an amazing view of the iconic Chapultepec Park and city skyline. The hotel’s address in the heart of Polanco allowed us to immerse ourselves in some of the city’s best dining – including the infamous Pujol.

The service was excellent. The Master Suite room upgrade we received as Bonvoy Platinum elites was notable and luxurious. Its spacious layout, plush furnishings, and panoramic views really elevated our experience.

However, it’s worth noting that the property, while elegant, shows some signs of aging. Some areas could benefit from refurbishment. Despite this, this property sits square as an archetypical JW Brand property,  and its proximity to culinary gem Pujol and the neighborhood shopping options of Polanco compensated for any minor imperfections.

Final Rating: 8.5/10
